Ark Liv is a relatively new, women-only fitness gym in Singapore which stands out from the pack - with its impressively equipped layout that still manages to feel lowkey and all-inclusive.

During our visit, it was especially nice to see a diverse range of ladies and we even got to try out some new exercises. There was no wait to use any area/item on a weekday evening. The gym section is located further inside, where passers-by cannot look in. Glass walls here are mostly decal-ed for privacy, with the top allowing natural light to stream in. Special shoutout to the air-conditioning which was perfect.

Location-wise, it's situated within Downtown East and there's something about its laidback, resort-esque vibe that extends to the gym as well. There's plenty of food options, shops and activities and Pasir Ris Park is a stone's throw away. You can definitely make it a whole weekend outing with a gym session and finish off with a picnic or cycle alongside beautiful, blue oceanside views.

We like how the squat rack, plate racks, free weights, bodyweight strength training options and push pull sled are placed in one area. It makes it easy and quick to switch from one exercise to the next. Great for carrying out conditioning work too.

The full wall mirror is a must-have for checking form. Love it!

The boulder section is an apt hallmark of Ark Liv's chill vibes and unique features - it's fun, beginner-friendly, adds something different to your regular workout session and is a perfect spot to make friends with other gym-goers.

Studio 

The studio is right next to the cardio area. Bright, spacious and airy - we saw many head in for stretches and for good reason. You can also free-play their yoga and pilates equipment in a comfortable setting.

Showers, Changing & Lockers

We very much appreciated the clean, warm tones of the vanity area. While definitely functional and quite delightfully glamorous in its own right, the changing rooms are our notable mention - little private rooms with cushy stools and mirrors make changing a super comfy affair.
